Well, the good news is that all 256 of my crocheted granny squares for my Mario Bros blanket is all completed. The bad news is that they are sitting in three shoe boxes, held hostage in my former residence. I don't know when I'll be able to go back and rescue my crafts.
I can't even tell you whether I'm going to stitch them together using a yarn needle or crochet them together using a smaller hook. I have no clue. Well, I'll keep you all informed on the state of my poor never-finished blanket. =(
I don't think you need to use a smaller hook - use the same one you used to create the squares.
ReplyDeleteI got my squares back. Because my stitches were so tight, I couldn't get my hook back into the loops. I ended up doing the yarn needle method. It's going pretty quickly. I've got 6 rows done already. The only thing holding me up is that I'm trying to keep the same yarn color between squares, so I'm spending a lot of time changing yarn.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a learning experience. I have to try and crochet more consistently and not so tightly. I also should have seen that link you send me because that would've helped out a lot!!
I'm going to lay off the squares for a little bit so I can complete a few other projects, but when I want to start them again, I know what not to do.
Your afghan came out amazing!
